DicomDrive is a module which can import DICOM 3 and high bit-depth jpeg files directly into your preferred applications.
Dicom Drive can handle Dicom files with up to 16 bits per color channel, lossy jpeg files with up to 36 bits per pixel, lossless jpeg and bmp files.
The acquired images are then imported using the bit depth supported by the application.
If your preferred application is not listed here, then you could try the Dicom Drive Demo Version in order to check the compatibility.

Main features
Load and preview DICOM 3 files, JPEG files (up to 16 bits per color channel) and BMP files
Transfer to the application all the images found in the file or only the active one
Preview all the images stored in the DICOM files
Select the contrast: from the DICOM file (uses the center/width tags), automatically detected or disabled
Select the Color Lookup Table to use when transferring the image to the application
Select the bits per pixel to use. Up to 16 bits per color channel (48 bits per pixel) are supported
Browse the DICOM tags. The DICOM tags are organized by category
Zoom the previewed images in or out .
